Solana Incubator Cohort 2 Launches in 2025
Teams will spend three months in New York City working directly alongside Solana Labs.

Solana Labs has announced the opening of applications for Cohort 2 of the Solana Incubator, set to run in New York City from January to April 2025.

At Breakpoint 2024 in Singapore, Emon Motamedi, Head of the Solana Incubator program, announced the upcoming cohort and offered an overview of the program. "We've built a lot of the core products and protocols of the Solana blockchain years ago," Motamedi explained. "Now we're asking ourselves: how do we scale these resources across all these amazing developers?"

The Solana Incubator program is distinguished by its high-touch approach and emphasis on in-person collaboration. Working alongside Solana Labs in New York City, teams gain immediate access to seasoned builders in the Solana ecosystem and the wider financial sector. The program's first cohort in 2024 demonstrated several notable successes, with alumni including Sanctum, now a leading protocol in the LST sector, as well as global payments app Espresso Cash, and cloud gaming platform Shaga.

"At its core, the most important thing in this program is the tailored support from Solana Labs," Motamedi emphasized. "If you're struggling with the protocol, we can actually jump in and help you. If you're building a user experience flow, our designers can jump into your Figma and leave some feedback...It means so much when you could just go up to them, tap them on the shoulder, ask them a question, or discuss potential collaboration."

Incubator Cohort teams also benefit from direct access to founders of established companies within the Solana ecosystem as well as one-on-one office hours with representatives from leading venture capital firms. The weekly schedule features product reviews, office hours, mentorship sessions, speaker series, and cohort huddles with fellow builders. Central to the program's methodology is its comprehensive support system, which includes hands-on development assistance, fundraising guidance, and strategic collaboration opportunities.

Unlike traditional accelerator programs, the Solana Incubator limits its cohort to 4-6 teams. This ensures each team receives individualized support around their specific needs, whether refining marketing strategy, offering design feedback, or providing a crucial introduction.

Whether applicants are existing Solana teams, Web3 teams considering Solana, or Web2 teams entering Web3, the program offers a chance to accelerate growth through direct collaboration with the Solana Labs team. Teams will receive a relocation stipend to ease their move to New York City for the three-month program.

Applications for the Solana Incubator Cohort 2 in 2025 are now closed.
